Disco Ball

By: Gareth Hoyle

Disco balls are a very retro piece of design but are very iconic and still very popular. A disco ball or glitter ball can really add a focal point to a room whether it be for your home, retail or business use. If you are opening a new bar or organising a large event you may want to hire or purchase a disco ball or mirror ball product to fit in with the theme of your event.

There are companies that do specialise in the hire of disco ball products that can be loaned on a short or long term basis. When people think of mirror balls you often conjure up images of the 70’s and films such as Saturday night fever but people love this era and disco ball items are making a real come back because of their fun and iconic design. Glitter ball and disco ball products are made up from hundreds of tiny pieces of mirror all joined together to form a ball or other shaped item. Disco ball products are most commonly found in nightclubs and disco’s hence the name disco ball. They are great in a nightclub as all the lights reflect off the pieces of glass and create a fantastic sparkling effect around the club.

In recent years people have been creating other products rather than just disco ball or glitter balls using the same method. Small pieces of glass have been used to create other iconic pieces of furniture and decorative art all inspired by the disco ball design.

There is a fantastic company called Mirror Ball Paul who specialise in disco and glitter ball products. They create many unique pieces and hire out their creations for your special events. Mirror Ball Paul can turn almost anything into a mirrored glittering piece of art so whatever your request he will hopefully be able to bring your design to life. If you visit you can see a range of designs and ideas for your event all available to hire.
