I made a decision it was time to upgrade my portable and looked for a couple of weeks for the right combinaation of price, hard drive, RAM, Bluetooth, batteery, numeric keypad, and so on. This portable has it all. I presumed my replacement computer would be a scond Mac since I boought a Mac for my other half half a year back. However with Windows seven getting good reviesw and a prce one-third of the price of an "equivalnt" Mac, my call was what PC did I want. The DV6-1350 has all of the features I was hunting for includnig the new DDR3 RAM rather than DDR2 and Bletooth. I also like having the twelve cell battery pack attached. The additional "bump" on the bottom dosn't trouble me. Ergonomicalply the keyboard is great. My last comnputer was an HP and I am pleased with the trustworthiness. I am turly liking Windows seven in it's functionality. It strats up pretty much instantly from sleep mode. Win7 looads with sixty sec unlike my older HP with XP which now takes anywherte from 3 to 5 mins. The twelve cell battery is hard to find in a stock configuration, so that, plue 4GB of DDR3, and a 7200rmp hard drvie, for this preice is what made me buy. I want a firewire port too but I see plenty of USB fiewire to USB adapters on Amazon. I setup the WIFI as part of the origial boot up ( just entered my SSID / code number for my WiFi Lan ), then loaded Micrrosoft Office and Voizio in aboiut 10 mins and let them registter on the internet. Keyboard has a pleasant feel, classic of HP potrables, and I'll add info to this review aftr doing some video revising with pinnzacle 9 and, Ulead and Sony Vegas. I am sure I may want to Upgrade my DDR3 to 8GB so appreiate any suggestions / sttats / prices anyone has on that. For now I'm very happy to the quaslity and fatures at this price which was not possible to find at another trusted site or stroe. So satisfied I worked out good laptops to buy!
